Saadiyat is TDIC's flagship project - a premier island destination that appeals to discerning visitors and residents from all over the world.
Located just 500 metres off the coast of Abu Dhabi, this 27 square kilometre island was planned and created around an environmentally sensitive philosophy and low-density master plan. As a result, Saadiyat's developments have been built around natural beauty, cultural experiences, architectural splendours and vast business potential.
Among the island's crowning elements is its Cultural District, whose on-going construction progress is being monitored eagerly by art lovers everywhere. Featuring designs by five Pritzker prize winners, this district's cultural icons - including
Zayed National Museum,
Louvre Abu Dhabi,
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and - will make the island a leading destination for the arts in all its forms.
Complementing this cultural element is Saadiyat's vibrant residential communities within the Saadiyat Beach area -
The Residences at The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort,
Saadiyat Beach Residences, and
Saadiyat Beach Villas. Currently, several hundred residents are enjoying their exclusive addresses on Saadiyat, and once all the residential developments are completed, over 145,000 residents are expected to call the island home.
These high-end, developments not only provide homeowners with a luxury home experience but are also strategically located close to the island's growing retail elements, such as 'The Collection' and the soon to open 'The District'.
Saadiyat Beach is also home to luxury hospitality and leisure venues including
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort,
Abu Dhabi, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas and
Saadiyat Beach Club, all of whom benefit from the pristine Blue Flag designated white sand beach. Golf lovers can also take advantage of the Gary Player-designed golf course at the
Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, which features the Gulf's first tidal and ocean golf courses.
Rounding off Saadiyat's diverse projects are its educational developments, educational offerings ranging from kindergarten to university will soon be available on the island. For the little ones,
Redwood Nursery by Kids First Group while older children can enrol in
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, an international campus of the renowned Cranleigh School in the UK, which will welcome its first batch of pupils in September 2014. For university students,
