Abu Dhabi, 3/26/2013 11:00:00 AM - Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, welcomed a group of 34 MBA students and faculty from Yale University's School of Management, one of the leading graduate business schools in the United States, for a tour of Saadiyat, which is part of the school's international experience trip to Abu Dhabi to study and learn about global business capitals.
The tour included visits to Manarat Al Saadiyat, the art and exhibition centre which showcases the major existing and upcoming projects on the island, and Saadiyat Accommodation Village, which is now home to more than 3000 construction workers who are making these projects happen. The MBA students were impressed by the Accommodation Village, as they had the opportunity to see the workers' way of life on Saadiyat and the village's various state-of-the-art social, recreational and educational facilities.
A visit was also made to Monte-Carlo Beach Club, a world-class leisure project and the first Monte-Carlo Beach Club outside of Monaco, which is an example of the kind of brands that TDIC is partnering with to turn Saadiyat into an internationally appealing destination.
The tour was a great opportunity for the students to find out about TDIC's major developing projects such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which is set to open in 2015. Saadiyat also makes a perfect case study for visiting business students who want to observe how the strategic master planning of a cultural, residential and hospitality destination can benefit the economic development and cultural progress of Abu Dhabi as a whole.
